Andrew Cadie is a fiddler, bagpiper, and guitarist with a distinctive style rooted in the traditions of his native Northumberland. Mark Bloomer is the man on guitar and mandolin, playing with a wrought-iron backbeat from the Black Country. Together they form the duo “Broom Bezzums” and they ramble along side by side since two decades now.
They combine sublime songwriting with skillful musicianship and captivating vocals. For their exceptional artistry, the jury in the “Folk & Singer-Songwriter / World Music” category has awarded them the “German Record Critics’ Award” not once, but twice. With six albums under their belt and a full tour schedule, they are one of the top acts on the German folk scene.
