The Braunschweig band TheEEs (“The Eclectic Experiences”) is a project by André Neundorf and Claus Hartisch. Together they create, arrange and produce a sound that combines soul, latin, reggae, tropical grooves, psychedelic funk, acid jazz and trip hop with cinematic sounds as well as spoken word and hip hop elements.
André Neundorf – a child of the 70s – grew up between his father’s turntables with a proven preference for soul, beat and psychedelic funk. Claus Hartisch experienced the 70s as an active musician between genres like R’n’B, Reggae and Blue-Eyed Soul. You can’t deny your roots. And so the music of this time represents a cornerstone for them. Nothing comes from the drawing board, it’s all just there.
