Hubert Dorigatti brings the blues from the Dolomites to the international stage. The down-to-earth singer-songwriter from South Tyrol was even able to convince the jury of the renowned IBC Blues Challenge. The style of traditional southern blues with role models such as Bill Broonzy, Robert Johnson and Lightnin Hopkins also represents the musical tradition into which Dorigatti fits with his compositions.
He combines virtuoso ragtime picking on the guitar with influences from folk, country and rock without losing his own style. The man with the beard, charm and smoky voice, that could just as easily come from New Orleans, proves over and over again that the mountains are at least as good a home for the blues as the Mississippi Delta.
