Handmade music with heart, soul, and flow. Founded by Braunschweig-based Jazzkantine guitarist Tom Bennecke, their songs are born out of a love of the dobro, the river Oker, and musical togetherness. What began as a meditative solo project has grown into a versatile all-star band combining Americana, blues, folk, country, bluegrass, and jazz.
With German and English songs, intuitive interplay, and an authentic unplugged character, Okertones create nostalgic yet modern soundscapes – honest, original, and vibrant. The sound: sometimes tender, sometimes raw – always true to life. Music for open ears and open hearts.
